The JSE's results came out on March 1, 2022. Part of the disclosure included that 25 companies delisted form the JSE last year, whereas only 7 new companies listed in the same period.
AmaranthCX's Paul Miller was interviewed in depth by Martin Creamer of Mining Weekly on exactly this subject in October 2021. In the interview he makes the point that if nothing changes, the delisting trajectory is locked in and South Africa will have fewer than 100 listed companies in less than twenty years.
