“Utshalo”, a Groundbreaking Financial Service to Support South Africa's Public Markets

Updated: Nov 26, 2023

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA – Ince is excited to announce its partnership with industry veteran Paul Miller to unveil Utshalo, an innovative financial service designed to address challenges faced by South Africa's public markets. This collaborative effort aims to reconnect non-institutional investors with companies seeking to raise capital, on the nation’s public markets.

In recent decades, changes in the financial services industry and the decline in South Africa's public markets have impacted companies of all sizes – but have especially hindered the ability of companies outside the top 100 to access essential capital for growth. Stockbroking has fundamentally changed; new capital raisings are increasingly rare; liquidity is drying up and the delisting trend continues to accelerate.

Utshalo, the brainchild of Ince and Paul Miller, aims to address these critical issues by providing a platform that will directly present IPOs, offers, placements and transactions such as accelerated bookbuilds and off-market settled block trades, to non-institutional investors.

Investors are invited to join Utshalo at www.utshalo.co.za
